Tournament Introduction
Previously known as the Vietnam Duel Pro League, this tournament has been the premier Heroes of Magic III competition in Vietnam, bringing together top players from around the world. This year, it has been rebranded as the Vietnam Duel Master 2025.
The Vietnam Duel Master 2025 tournament is the leading event for duel map players in the Heroes of Magic III community in Vietnam.
This year, in addition to Vietnamese players, the tournament will also feature top players from the MDGA competition.
Held online in April 2025, Vietnam Duel Master 2025 is not just a competition, but also a celebration of the Heroes 3 gaming community in Vietnam.

Main Prize Pool $1500
Main Prize Pool Distribution
- 1st place: 45% of $1500 ($675)
- 2nd place: 25% of $1500 ($375)
- 3rd place: 10% of $1500 ($150)
- 4th place: 6% of $1500 ($90)
- 5th - 6th place: 4% of $1500 ($60) (each)
- 7th - 8th place: 3% of $1500 ($45) (each)
Special Awards (Outside Main Prize Pool): $200
- Earliest break and win the game: $50
- Most skeletons and win the game: $50 (minimum: 3000)
- Most demons and win the game: $50 (minimum: 700)
- Player has the highest number of dragons (any type) and win the game: 50$
Tournament Rules
- Format: Use the official Duel 2.9b map template created by MKC
- Number of players: Up to 100 players based on the registration list

❖ 2 stages: Group Stage and Playoffs
❖ Group Stage: Top 16 of MDGA are seeded into 16 groups while the remaining players are randomly assigned. Players face off in BO3 matches
1st and 2nd places → Upper Bracket, 3rd place → Lower Bracket. Others are eliminated
❖ Playoffs: Double Elimination format. Group winners face random runner-ups in Upper Bracket. 3rd place → Lower Bracket Round 1 vs Upper Bracket Round 1 losers
BO3 matches, from Top 8 onward → BO5.
❖ Regulations: Common Tournament Rules
1. In Group Stage and Upper Bracket BO3, each player may pay 1500 gold to ban one hero from the opponent by typing "-Name" (e.g.,
-Loynis) after town trade and before color trade. Typeno banif you don't want to ban any hero. The player who loses the town bid must decide first.2. The 1500 gold ban fee is added to the total cost of the trading phase (town trade + color trade + ban fee).
3. Town banning is not allowed in BO5 matches. Hero banning is still allowed.
❖ Streaming: Required (Twitch, YouTube, Bilibili, or Discord).
❖ Reporting: Winner must report in #results channel (break time, Skeletons/Demons)
❖ Casting: Announce in #casting if you want to stream a game
❖ Ranked Games: All games must be ranked
❖ Timer: 2 / 1:10 / 0:20. Simultaneous turns: 127
❖ Templates:
- Upper Bracket: Duel 2.9b, standard trade, 1 Hero pair reroll (500 gold), must reroll / ban previous faction. No ban in BO5
- Lower Bracket: Duel 2.9b T+ (Tavern Choice), all random replaces standard trade
❖ T+ Rules:
- Can hire 1 extra Hero at start. Must remove 1 by turn 111. No more than 1 extra Hero
- Choose 1 of 3 available Heroes (1 start + 2 in tavern) to keep as main
- Competitive timer: 3 / 1:10 / 0:20
- Restarts allowed: 2x111
